August: Osage County is a roller coaster of emotions within the Weston Family. Drug addiction, alcoholism, abuse, racism and more swirl in a pot of discontent, acidic humor and fear. This black comedy is shocking but introspective at the same time. Buzz about the show includes, from The New York Times: “…I’d bet the farm that no family has ever been as unhappy in as many ways — and to such sensationally entertaining effect — as the Westons of “August: Osage County.”
Actors will be expected to commit to a rehearsal schedule leading up to 7-8 performances: January 12, 13, 14. 2017 and January 19, 20, and 21, 2017. There will be at least one matinee, possibly two. The rehearsal schedule will be made available at the time of auditions. Questions may be directed to our email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
